I is actually for Ibis, since the Impala turned out to be a Lechwe. ;)
I started this one in the Rockport workshop, and finished at home. This turned out to be quite a challenge, different from my usual sunlit cows. This scarlet ibis was mostly in the shade, and the whole background took on a very low-keyed value scale.
My progress shots are interrupted; got some of the underpainting but then none until I continued at home. Here they are anyway...
